Judging for the 2020 Wine Shows has been completed with the following trophy winners:
The Blackwood Valley Wine Show & the Western Australian Boutique Wine Show are the showcase events of the region.
Entries are open to local Blackwood Valley producers, as well as Boutique Wineries from across the State who crush less than 250 tonnes of fruit per year.
The Western Australian Boutique Wine Show continues to grow each year and develop its reputation as the only Show in WA specifically catering for the smaller producer. We also attract high quality judges who assess the wines to Australian judging standards,
Held annually in Bridgetown, judging takes place over two days, usually a Thursday and Friday. The Awards will be announced electronically on the Saturday following judging.
The Blackwood Valley & WA Boutique Wine Shows provide an opportunity to highlight the premium wines being produced by smaller wineries or growers across the State, as well as promoting the Blackwood Valley Wine Region.
2019 was the first year of the Western Australian Single Vineyard Wine Show, held in conjunction with the WA Boutique Wine Show and the Blackwood Valley Wine Show. This Wine Show will be held every year in Bridgetown.
The Show is open to wines produced in WA from a single, identifiable portion of land and there is no restriction on the size of the winery entering the wines.
The Show is organised by the Blackwood Valley Wine Industry Association and aims to showcase wines produced from a single vineyard by any winery in Western Australia.
