Western Australian Boutique Wine Show & Blackwood Valley Wine Show

The Blackwood Valley Wine Show and the Western Australian Boutique Wine Show are the showcase events of the region.

Entries are open to local Blackwood Valley producers, as well as Boutique Wineries from across the State who crush less than 250 tonnes of fruit per year.

The Western Australian Boutique Wine Show continues to grow each year and develop its reputation as the only Show in WA specifically catering for the smaller producer.  We also attract high quality judges who assess the wines to Australian judging standards,

Held annually in October in Bridgetown, judging takes place over two days with the Exhibitor’s Tasting and Function, incorporating the Presentation of Awards held on the Saturday evening.  The Function provides an opportunity to sample the award winning wines of the Shows and mingle with producers, judges and sponsors in a relaxed environment.  Due to the uncertainty regarding CoVid-19 restrictions the Exhibitor Tasting and Function will not be held in 2020.

The Blackwood Valley & WA Boutique Wine Shows provide an opportunity to highlight the premium wines being produced by smaller wineries or growers across the State, as well as promoting the Blackwood Valley Wine Region.

Western Australian Single Vineyard Wine Show

2019 was the first year of the Western Australian Single Vineyard Wine Show, held in conjunction with the WA Boutique Wine Show and the Blackwood Valley Wine Show.  This Wine Show will be held every year in October.

The Show is open to wines produced in WA from a single, identifiable portion of land and there is no restriction on the size of the winery entering the wines.

The Show is organised by the Blackwood Valley Wine Industry Association and aims to showcase wines produced from a single vineyard by any winery in Western Australia.
